Building responsible and future-ready digital citizens — HopeSpring Community Development’s flagship initiative under Education & Skills Development.
Digital Smart Generation (DSG) is HopeSpring Community Development’s flagship initiative under the Education & Skills Development Programme. It equips children, young people, parents, educators and communities with practical knowledge and skills to use technology and artificial intelligence safely, responsibly, creatively and purposefully.
Technology should not control children; children should learn how to control technology.
— Our central messageDigital technology and artificial intelligence are transforming how young people learn, communicate, build relationships and prepare for future careers. While technology creates valuable opportunities, it also exposes children and young people to risks such as excessive screen time, cyberbullying, harmful content, online exploitation, misinformation, privacy violations and irresponsible use of artificial intelligence.
Digital Smart Generation helps participants develop the awareness, confidence and practical skills required to benefit from technology while protecting their safety, well-being and future.
The programme is guided by the Digital Smart Generation 4R Framework.
